My World

What a strange world my world is lately. It is January 6th. It is in the 70's. We need to be in shorts - but I refuse!

So here is a little peak into my world today . . .

Dead grass is everywhere. The pine trees are losing their brown needles. So brown and dull green abound. And in the midst of it I found color! My camellias are loaded with buds, and then this one lonely bloom! But not for long, within days this bush will be weighted down with beautiful flowers.

I found red

And purple

And I followed the wornderful sweet scent to the Tea Olive . . .

Between the warm temperatures and bright days, now the color that is starting to peep through there are tugs at the strings of spring fever. But I know nature will take it care of it and a cold snap should come through any day now . Until then, I will continue with spring cleaning. Yup, so when spring is really sprung - I can sit back and relax!

It is so gray and gloomy here in Ohio that it made me enjoy your lovely bursts of color even more!

I found your blog by way of Angie at TheArthurClan!

I love the splashes of color in your photos. Makes me long for spring up here, as we have a very gray day today and are awaiting the arrival of sleet and snow!!

I will check back often!

You can tell we are southern women because we both have Purple Dawn camelias. Mine are blooming too.

Today it is cold, rainy and grey. Nice to see some color, until Mother Nature takes care of that!

I stayed up all night cleaning my house for the realtor to bring someone to view our home. I am too tired for words. Still have to shower, mop and fold clothes, then I am out of here.

We have been sorting stuff(junk) and because of the need to purge my home was a wreck. I can't believe we are moving in 8 days. I am almost ready.

Your camellias are exactly like mine, only mine flowers in April. Your photos are beautiful.

Oh, that is so different than what we have here! Beautiful photos that remind me of spring! I've never seen a camellia. Do they have a scent?

Wow! Great shot. That pink/purple one would make great wall art if print and frame it.

What better time to do your spring cleaning than now when the light is growing and hope is in the air.
Lovely flowers, especially the Camellia!

It's wonderful to find color in unexpected places, right when our world looks so drab. Great phtos.
