Spring Is In The Air

If it weren't for the remnants of Christmas still around the house and on the television, I might have to wonder . . . what season are we in?

I opened the bedroom window last night, the house had warmed up consiserably, so cooler air was needed.

This morning dawned with the sound of birds singing.

Cardinals flitting around the trees and shrubs.

And . . . .

What is that smell?

It

smells

like

spring!!

I know it sounds crazy and I know it is not! But it feels like it, and smells like it and even at 11:00 in the morning, as I iron by the open window, the birds are singing as if spring is on its way! Can you imagine? I mean, it is, but not in December/January.

As the day continues to warm to the 80's, I am actually not bemoaning the lack of snow or cold. But savoring the breeze and the the sounds, cuz the cold is coming back!

May all of you, buried in snow, have a cuddly, warm inside day!

P.S. This is also the first Saturday that I have been off AND at home in a very long time. This feels great!

I just can't even imagine that right now Imerie. No birds singing here yet. They are all having a time trying to find food.

I am glad that someone is warm in this winter sweep. Take care and have a good day for all of us snow bounders.

I remember those winter days that smelled like spring. A breath of hope. Your quote is perfect and beautiful!

Oh, your description of the warm breeze and singing birds has me wishing for spring, which is about five months away for me! I really don't belong in the Northeast!

You know, it's really weird. We were in the 60's today, and they're forecasting a 30 degree drop. But I know what you mean, it felt and smelled like spring today.

How I yearn for the Spring! It is on its way, that is all I can say!
The New Year brings fresh hope and a chance to make a new start, only a few days to go!

Stopping by from SITS. It's been kind of spring-like around here too.
