Ever want to be something you're not?

I do . . .

This week I wish I were a poet.

Or maybe a song writer?

A successful business owner most of all.

Just seems when there is much to sort through and emotions cropping up, you should be able to turn them into something wonderful.

Make good of them. No lyrics or rhyme has surfaced, so I guess I will need to find another way.

The day is beautiful again. The Bradford pears are swaying in the breeze. Breeze/wind is not that common here - usually only with an approaching storm of some sort, but not lately, it has been quite steady and I am enjoying. Mesmerized by the swaying of branches, I could just sit and get lost in the watching.

I hope all of you are experiencing as beautiful of a spring, where you are, as we are here!

Take some time today to enjoy - I know I am!!

What is the wind for?
If it's not for songs in trees;
What is the wind for?
I feel a song inside of me.
Every day the wind blows,
I think of thoughts from my heart.
Wind melodies come and they go,
Without me knowing where they start.
What is the wind for?
If not for songs like these.
What is the wind for?
If not for songs in trees.
I have been going through life,
Both with comfort and pain.
I have been going through life,
Both with effect and in vain.
But still I hear wind songs,
As they steadily grow;
With melodies chanting,
That no one really knows.

There are days where I wished I were something else...or at least somewhere else, hahaha!
It is fall where I am, so the days a re cooler and a bit more rainy...but that sure helps the grass (and other amazing foliage here) grow very beautifully!

Sometimes I wish I were and artist, drawing specifically. It seems like such a wonderful way to be creative with your feelings. I really admire my daughter's artistic ability. I love your description of a beautiful spring day!

Why didn't you tell me you had a blog!? Especially after I told you about mine today.
Here's a funny my mother said to me the other day ".......not to worry about your business dear, it's only money..all educations are expensive."
Doesn't that beat all!

That was so neat to get to know something about you new. A poet huh.

Glad you are having some great weather. I love Springtime. As long as it is not in the 90's.

Have a great day and I want to be a kitchen designer :)

I use to want to be something ALL the time and now I'm just excited that I am happy to be me! Ok.. a little secret, I still visualize myself on stage dancing my booty off and the crowd cheering.. but dancing and imagining it with my daughter seems to be enough these days!

Love the poem! Spring came slowly but I'm so glad it's here. Loving it!

I don't thik we are ever truly satisfied with our own beings. But I can't say I've ever wanted to be something I'm not. I like being me, albeit with a bit more zest!!

Love this post. I fight with wanting to be different things every day but slowly, slowly I am learning to be just me. When I achieve it (and it will happen) I will enjoy the moment forever more. :)
